Your day will take you to a number of fascinating spots where you will learn about Hvar, famous for its lavender, olives and wine. Our Gorgeous Hvar tour will start with a Hvar city walking tour. We will drive to Hvar’s Fortica fortress. Hvar’s Fortica castle is the best place for the most amazing view of the entire city and island archipelago. After learning more about the fortress and its history we will begin our gentle stroll down to the city center through lush pine woods until we reach the old part of the town called Groda. At Groda we will stop at Benedictine nunnery museum, where you will see their signature works of art: agava pattern laces, which are protected by UNESCO as the cultural heritage. Afterwards we will discover the city square, the Arsenal, the Theatre, and the Cathedral. Driving on an old road, which is paved with amazing views, through the green and rural island of Hvar on the other side of the island in an island’s most important wine region, where you will taste some of traditional varieties of wine. We’ll visit one of the most famous Croatian winemaker. In the wine cellar you will have the opportunity to taste 4 – 5 different wines together with a specific wine guide, who will describe the individual wines and provide all information needed with islands finest local appetizers. Afterwards we will continue to one of the villages where you will enjoy in tasteful lunch. Your meal will be prepared in a traditional island way.
