Wine Tour on Hvar with Traditional Dinner

The ancient Greeks and Romans were already growing grapes and producing wine on Hvar 300 years before Christ was born. Wine provided them with safety, food, and medicinal wealth. Vineyards are found all over the island, where strong winds and abundant sun create ideal conditions for producing the highest-quality wines, including Croatia’s only Grand Cru. Plavac Mali is the most indigenous grape of the Dalmatian region. Our wine tour begins in Hvar town with a drive to the other side of the island, to its most important wine region. Along the way, we’ll visit two of Croatia’s most famous winemakers. The wine tour includes visits to two wineries of our choice, depending on availability. At each wine cellar, you will have the opportunity to taste four to five different wines, guided by a personalized wine expert who will describe each wine and provide all the information needed to satisfy your curiosity. Tastings are paired with the island’s finest local appetizers. After visiting the wineries, we’ll head to a spectacular traditional Dalmatian dinner in one of the charming local villages.
