Scuba Diving: Hol Chan Marine Reserve
What your day looks like
Fifteen minutes south of Ambergris Caye is Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Belize’s first marine reserve. This natural cut in the reef is home to many corals, tropical fish, nurse sharks, moray eels, stingray and turtles. The next stop is Shark Ray Alley, where you can snorkel with the guide and play with the nurse sharks and southern stingrays. The Hol Chan dive is a shallow dive, with a 30ft max depth that is ideal for the first-time diver and experienced divers alike. This is a great site for underwater photography, and since it's shallow, we combine snorkelers on the trip. This makes it perfect for your non-diver family or friend.
