The Experience

What your day looks like

Experience the many moods of Uluru at sunset with an uninterrupted view. Admire the immensity of this world-renowned icon as you immerse yourself in the environmental changes that unfold as the sun sets in the west. Relax with a glass of sparkling wine and light refreshments while you take in this spectacular display—truly a photographer’s dream for that perfect postcard shot of an Uluru sunset. After sunset, an SEIT Guide will transfer you to the AAT Kings exclusive barbecue site. Located within Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park and set among red sand dunes and desert oak trees, the setting offers a tranquil atmosphere far from the resort lights, providing an ideal vantage point for stargazing (weather permitting). Once at the site, you’ll enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by a glass of wine, beer, or orange juice (menus subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Your guide will then conduct a tour of the night sky, pointing out visible constellations with the assistance of a high-beam spotlight (weather permitting) and sharing Aboriginal stories connected to the stars. At the end of the evening, you’ll return to Ayers Rock Resort. Special dietary requests must be advised before 2pm on the day of the tour.
