Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Times Square in Manhattan, where you will meet your professional bilingual tour guide and board a comfortable motor coach for an unforgettable experience. After a journey of approximately four to five hours, you will arrive in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States and home to all three branches of government. Your first stop will be at the Iwo Jima Memorial, a monument honoring the U.S. Marines that depicts the famous photograph of the flag-raising during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. You will then visit the impressive Lincoln Memorial, dedicated to the president who led the nation through the Civil War and promoted the abolition of slavery. Your tour will continue with a stop outside the White House, the official residence and workplace of the U.S. President, followed by a visit to the Capitol Building, where Congress meets to create the nation’s laws. After exploring these iconic landmarks, you will have free time for lunch before heading to the next destination. Following a three-hour drive, you will arrive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the first capital of the United States and a city rich in Revolutionary War history. Your first stop will be in the historic Old City neighborhood at Independence National Historical Park. Here, your guide will lead you on a short walking tour to see some of the most important sites in American history, including the Liberty Bell, a symbol of the country’s independence, and Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, and the U.S. Constitution was drafted. To conclude your visit, you will stop at the famous Rocky Steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where you will have the opportunity to recreate the legendary scene from the 1976 movie. At the end of the day, you can relax on board the motor coach as you return to Times Square in Manhattan, arriving between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. The itinerary is subject to traffic conditions and may be modified due to time constraints.
