This self-guided walking tour starts in Wright Square. Before you start walking, you will get some background on Savannah, your guide, and how VoiceMap works. The tour stops briefly outside the Juliette Gordon Low House. You will hear a bit about who Juliette Gordon Low was and the role of the house today before continuing on the walk. The tour stops briefly in front of the Independent Presbyterian Church. You will learn a bit about it before continuing with the tour. The tour briefly stops in front of the original filming location of the Forrest Gump bench. You will find out where the bench is today before moving on with the tour. The tour takes you through Madison Square. You will learn a bit about the history associated with the square. The tour stops briefly in front of the Green-Meldrim House. You will learn about the architect, the people who lived there, and have an opportunity to take a look inside. The tour stops in front of the Mercer-Williams House. You will hear about the architect and the former owners of the house and have an opportunity to stop the tour while you go inside. The tour stops briefly in front of the Armstrong-Kessler House. You will hear about the house’s original owner and its current owner. The tour ends in Forsyth Park, where you will hear about the park and its history.
