We'll then visit a longtime Chinatown institution to enjoy a comforting bowl of local noodles, prepared using traditional methods that have made it a neighborhood favorite for decades. Now it's time to experience the true magic of NYC as you turn a corner and realize that the sights, sounds, and aromas of Chinatown suddenly give way to the historic streets of Little Italy! In Little Italy, you'll enjoy an iconic New York style slice of pizza, celebrating how Italian immigrants transformed a Neapolitan classic into a global staple. Next, you'll savor an arancini with a twist, where traditional Sicilian flavors meet New York creativity in one irresistible bite. As with all our tours, there's also our delicious Secret Dish, a surprise bite that perfectly captures the spirit of this unforgettable neighborhood. We'll begin in historic Columbus Park, once known as Five Points, the treacherous battleground featured in Martin Scorsese's "Gangs of New York”. First up, you'll enjoy handmade fried dumplings from a beloved local hotspot. Next, prepare to savor a culinary delight with roots tracing back to 1940s Hong Kong, where the artful fusion of Cantonese roast pork and Western baking techniques gave birth to a beloved culinary masterpiece. On our walk, we'll pass through Chinatown's bustling streets and hear stories of the neighborhood's first Chinese-owned businesses and the notorious "bloody angle." Of course, no visit would be complete without stopping at one of the neighborhood's buzzing bakeries for an Instagramable sweet treat. Now it's time to experience the true magic of NYC as you turn a corner and realize that the Chinese businesses suddenly turn Italian! In Little Italy, we also have a special sweet treat for you at a classic New Yorker Italian bakery that dates its origins to 1892. After which, you'll explore a legendary bar featured in several mafioso films and TV shows and have a slice of pizza fit for The Godfather, himself! And finally, you'll feast on a mini New York-style cheesecake as you learn what's North of Little Italy. As with all our tours, there's also our delicious Secret Dish.
