Full Day Yukon Scenic Tour & City Summit

Our guide, Pam, was an exceptional host. We stopped at some incredible photo spots. She was very knowledgeable about the area, the flora and fauna. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Overall I would recommend the tour. Just be aware that there is signage out for tips in multiple places, including a venmo which is extremely off putting. Also, in the beginning we were advised that our lunch options was BBQ chicken or a vegan curry. Upon arrival it only dark meat. When asked for white meat was informed they only served dark meat but,gee they could give me an extra potatoes. Honesty if I'd known at the onset I would have taken the curry. I was a bit disappointed that our guide didn't provide a lot of historical information about the gold rush Era. She did provide some but I learned a lot more about her kayaking and backpacking then I did about the area.

This tour was so disappointing and agonizingly long and boring. 6 hours and 30 minutes of the bus driver talking non-stop. Some of the info was great for the first 2 1/2 hours but everyone was exhausted on the ride back and he was looking for things to talk about. It was sold as a scenic tour and bbq lunch. We did get lunch but it was a staged town in the middle of nowhere. It was such a gimmick. Some of the scenery was stunning, however, a bus is not the way to see this scenery, especially this bus. It had trouble getting up the mountains. Do yourself a favor and take the train tour of the Yukon instead.

On a recent trip to Alaska via Celebrity cruise, my wife and I along with a group of friends, booked an excursion called Ketchikan Duck Boat tour. We were unable to get on the same tour with the rest of the group and booked the next tour at 11AM, Sunday Aug.25th. We were told to meet at 10:45. With rain falling we left earlier but found it difficult to find the location of pick up. We eventually did at around 10:40AM in the parking lot at the very end of the pier. When I approached the vehicle I was told by a young man onboard to wait outside as there was an issue he was trying to sort out. First I found it odd the boat was already full of passengers even though we arrived at suggested time. More than that however, we were left standing out in the middle of the parking lot waiting in the cold and pouring rain. Someone came over with a tiny umbrella and suggested we board the vehicle. With that, the guy in the boat stopped us and told us to wait. At this point my pants were drenched. My back was soaked by the sideways rain. I then asked for a refund and after my wife informed you of what happened. We did receive a full refund. I only say this because we still had another excursion booked through your company. That brings me to the next issue and excursion: The following was written by one of my friends in the group on this excursion "Full day Yukon Skagway Scenic tour and white pass summit". The voucher came to us as the "Yukon Skagway train voucher" What we thought was the popular train ride, turned out to be nothing more than a 6 hour bus ride in the mountains.. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The bus drove into very scenic mountains with a guide trying his best to make things interesting. After a few hours of repetitive views, with a few short stops for pictures, we wound up having lunch at a make believe Yukon village that looked more like a set from a cheap Hollywood movie After about an hour of playing with dogs visiting the gift shop etc., we headed back to Skagway, on the same road we travelled on the way up.!! . This trip wound up being a 6 1/2 hour bus ride to nowhere with a cheesy 1 hour stop in between. Our guide, Epaul did his best to make things interesting but one can only listen to stories of mountain passes etc. for so long. Bottom line is if this trip was free, we still would not have gone. It is way too long and burned the whole day for us.. We would have been much happier walking Skagway and visiting the shops and restaurants. Read the advertisements carefully folks Nowhere in the advertising did it say it was a bus ride.. I will add that before I booked along with my 6 other friends in the group I had a chat online to ensure that some Yukon rail experience and ride on train was included. They assured me yes. That turned out to not be the case. In concluding it’s hard for me to say anything positive about our Project Expedition tours. This tour was amazing! We took many scenic photo stops, including the Alaska sign, saw beautiful glacial green lakes and our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable and gave us insight on local history, geography and made the trip so pleasant and educational!

What an outstanding tour. Our tour guide was knowlegable and had a great sense of humor. The scenery was stunning and I could not ask for more,
