Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari on Zodiac
What your day looks like
Our smile-plastered-to-your-face Zodiac Safari is perfect for adventurous guests ages six and older who seek an intimate look at Dana Point's year-round whales, dolphins, and other mesmerizing marine life. You could get within arm’s reach of wildlife such as mega-pods of wild dolphins up to 10,000 strong, blue whales, gray whales, humpback whales, fin whales, sea lions, sharks, and more. Dana Point made famous the dolphin stampede! Our comfortable, upscale zodiacs feature heavily padded seats with seatbacks and a large sunshade. Have a GoPro? Bring it! You'll be VERY close to the water’s surface! Coast Guard inspected and certified for safety. Live narration from entertaining and knowledgeable marine naturalists will bring you on a deeper dive into the lives of Dana Point's gentle giants; what they do, where they go, and the threats they face. And at the end of your experience, we hope that you'll disembark with a greater understanding of Dana Point's awe-inspiring marine life. As a special 'thank you' you'll receive a complimentary sweet treat of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious triple fudge brownies. Our safaris are eco-friendly and we are a Responsible Whale Watching operator certified by the World Cetacean Alliance. The journey, in full
You'll depart from beautiful Dana Point Harbor, a small marina with quick access to the open ocean. Dana Point is conveniently located mid-way between Los Angeles and San Diego, just a few minutes from Laguna Beach, and only 33 miles from Disneyland. It's not uncommon to see playful dolphins or jumping whales right outside the harbor! The direction we go will depend upon the wildlife. Usually, we only need to go 3 to 5 miles offshore.
