The Experience

What your day looks like

Come enjoy a fully guided tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum.
Sense the emotion and determination of our forefathers who fought for our freedom and independence.
The Boston Tea Party was “the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution.” The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is dedicated to telling the story of that fateful night of December 16, 1773.

Explore Griffin’s Wharf and board BOTH of our ships, the Eleanor and the Beaver. Throw the fated tea into Boston Harbor alongside our costumed historical interpreters and hear the dramatic events surrounding the “single most important event leading up to the American Revolution”. View the Robinson Tea Chest, the only known surviving tea chest from the Boston Tea Party and experience its amazing story.
In addition to the museum, visit our breathtaking Abigail’s Tea Room where you can enjoy freshly baked goods, a spot of tea and learn more about the types of tea thrown overboard in 1773. Learn about the proper brewing process. (Additional cost to enjoy Abigail's Tea Room Experience). And don’t miss our enchanting Gift Shop chock full of gems to bring back home!

Enjoy the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum® and relive the turning point in history that led to our independence and freedom as a nation.

This was such a fun and interactive museum. We went as a multi-generational family, and everyone of us enjoyed ourselves, from the grandparents, down to our 4-year-old!

This was a great tour with fun reenactment and audience participation. My husband got to throw a box of tea over the side of the ship. Afterwords, we went into the tea room and enjoyed some Boston tea and danish.
