What your day looks like

Tibet lies in central Asia with the majority of the Tibetan population. It lies at the highest altitude with Mount Everest on its side. It is famous for its bounty of natural and cultural richness and is also called the Forbidden Kingdom. The Tibetan land is beautified by exotic mountainous peaks, rivers, lakes, and ancient cultural monasteries. Tibetan people believe in spirituality and follow Buddhist culture and philosophy. The diverse climatic condition is found in Tibet ranging from extremely hot to intense cold. The major highlight of this tour is visiting the Grand Potala Palace of Dalai Lama. This will be a driving tour and we expect to visit many places in the short time available. You will also get a chance to explore many other temples and monasteries. You will be enjoying the beauty of waterfalls, rivers, and lakes along the way. We will be spending 2 days at Lhasa to explore the region in some depth. In addition to exploring unique cultures and lifestyles, you will also have the experience of enjoying the mountain flight.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we offer you pick up facility from the airport and manage your stay at the most comfortable hotel in the city. You get to meet our team and together we prepare for the tour

Day 2

Kathmandu

Local Flavor at Kathmandu Valley. We will have a short trip to historical and cultural sites around Kathmandu valley: Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple

Local Flavor. You can also do some souvenir shopping during the sightseeing. After sightseeing, we head back to the hotel and pack our bags and prepare for the tour.

Day 3

Plane Tour. We take an early flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu. As the flight will cross through the Himalayan ranges, this is the best opportunity to enjoy the mountainous views while flying. You will get to view the peaks like Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Makalu and many others

Day 4

Kathmandu

City/Town Tour at Sera Monastery. Today we will be spending the day exploring the most famous sites in Lhasa. We will begin our tour with the visit to Sera Monastery, one of the famous monasteries in Lhasa. Lhasa is known for a number of temples and monasteries that have unique architecture and design

Local Flavor at Norbulingka. We will also be visiting Norbulingka which is the summer palace of Dalai Lama. There is also the most sacred temple for Tibetan Buddhists called Jokhang temple. We will explore the temple area and continue our tour

Local Flavor. We will conclude our day’s exploration with a visit to Barkhor market

Day 5

Lhasa

Sightseeing at Potala Palace. We will continue our exploration of Lhasa today as well. We will be visiting the famous Potala palace of Dalai Lama. The palace was built in the 17th Century and thus has the historical significance. It is situated at a height from where the entire city can be viewed. The palace is huge and built in the extravagant style and unique design. It also has a private quarter of Dalai Lama

Sightseeing at Drepung Monastery. We will then visit the Drepung monastery. The monastery was built in the 14th Century to shelter the monks. Around 10,000 monks used to live in the monastery but now the number is declining. It is largest Tibetan monastery which has the religious and historical significance

Kathmandu

Thank you for visting! Today is the last day of our tour. We will fly to Kathmandu from Lhasa. Or you may choose to depart to your country from the Lhasa airport itself. We will make arrangements accordingly
