What travelers are saying
Such an absolutely enjoyable experience. The event happened to coincide with my daughter's 14th birthday, so while she didn't actually go up against a sumo wrestler (she was dressed too nicely - her words), they did bring her to the ring with a couple other birthday guests so we could all sing happy birthday to them. Beyond that, the meal was very pleasant and the explanation of the sumo rules taught me a few things. Then there was the fun of being thrown around by a sumo wrestler 3 times my size. Gentle yet authoritative in my destruction. Totally worth it.
Great experience!! Everyone in our family loved it, the host was understandable and the wrestlers made it really fun for our group!
My clients loved it!
My clients (2 couples in their 80's) were worried this was going to be "hokey" but were so happy they decided to take this tour. They were very happy with the meal and learned so much of the culture behind Sumo. They said, "There were 2retired professional Sumos who demonstrated techniques, all narrated by a young woman who spoke great English."
My client loved the educational and hands on aspects of this tour as well as the value of the experience.
Had a great time!!!!
