Small-Group Japanese Cooking Class in Tokyo with Local Chef Chieko
What your day looks like
Host Bio: Chieko is a certified cooking instructor who was born and raised on Shikoku Island and then lived in Kyoto, Osaka, and Los Angeles, before moving to Tokyo. Growing up on an island ensured that Chieko always had access to fresh seafood, as well as fresh vegetables and rice, as her parents were farmers. So cooking with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients is very important to Chieko. She learned to cook traditional Japanese dishes from her mother - as a child, Chieko helped her mother in the kitchen and enjoyed watching her cook. She is so excited to meet travelers from all over the world and teach them how to make a homecooked Japanese meal.
