What your day looks like
Drive along scenic and silent country roads through the hillside of Tuscany on a scooter admiring the sights smells and sounds of the Chianti region! Our comfortable minivan will take you to the countryside, and will be available in case of any need during all the tour. With a short ride, you will be taken just outside of the busy and bustling city center. First, you will receive an orientation conducted by an English speaking trained professional, ensuring the safe operation of the Vespas before we head out for our engaging and enjoyable ride. A driving test in an enclosed space will be held to understand if everyone has enough confidence and safety on the Vespa to drive on open roads. The ride, along scenic country roads, will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little medieval churches and ancient wineries. Some stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way. You will visit a famous winery, producing some of the most appreciated Chianti wines, and enjoy a tour of their cellars, where you will learn all the secrets of wine production. You will end the Vespa ride at a boutique winery, learning their approach on winemaking ending then your memorable experience with a typical Tuscan lunch (or dinner, depending on which departure you choose) that will be served with a wine and olive oil tasting. An interesting booklet on wine and the Chianti territory will be your memory to bring home.

Restrictions
A valid driving license is required and needs to be presented on the day of the tour (although you do not need a motorcycle license) and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger. Please let us know in advance of any special need or impaired mobility of the clients and we will do our best to accommodate them. The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. The clients reported that the vendor is serious about passing a driving test before operating the vespas and having close-toed shoes. Out of their shuttle bus full of participants, they were the only five who passed the test so the rest had to have the tour from the shuttle following the vespas. She said if you had ever driven a motorized vehicle it should have not been hard, but it was evidently challenging for many. They had a good adventure.

This tour was a blast and we saw a lot of beautiful countryside we would not have otherwise seen. The tour guides were amazing and very accommodating to those who didn't want to drive a Vespa, but wanted to ride on one. The lunch following the Vespa tour was delicious and we had an opportunity to purchase the wine and olive oil we tasted at lunch! Highly recommend!

What a blast riding through the hills of Tuscany on a Vespa with my wife holding onto me! This was the highlight of our Italy vacation. The winery tour and tasting and the lunch that followed were icing on the cake. Guides Ilaria and Alexia were fantastic and kept us in stitches. Highly recommend, 5/5!

Amazing Experience! Well organized, guides were very safety conscious. You will be driving amidst public traffic, if you’re not confident after the Vespa test you can take the little cars. Winery tour and lunch were very good. I would recommend this tour!

Best tour of our entire vacation!! We had such a great time! My boyfriend drove i rode we enjoyed the sights, the places the food and the wine and olive oil!! We also had an ecar in our group , tried olives off the tree got a little rained on and laughed with our new friends! Youd be missing out on a fantastic time if ypu didnt do this!!
