The Experience

What your day looks like

Come learn to make pizza and gelato just like the Italians do! Join the class and our chefs will be happy to introduce you to the history of these delicious Italian creations! Along with our professional pizza chef, or pizzaiolo, you will learn to make your personal pizza, starting with preparation of the dough then stretching it, saucing and topping it to your liking with our seasonal toppings. Our chef will teach you how to make a soft, elastic yeast dough that can be stretched almost paper thin for a crispy, crunchy pizza or stretched less for a fluffier crust as you prefer while sharing techniques for you to recreate your pizza back at home! While the pizza dough rests, learn another classic Italian treat, gelato! The chef will guide you through the history of this sweet treat, share the traditional fresh ingredients and techniques for creating a delicious gelato. During the demonstration the chef will also share some helpful tips for choosing the best and authentic gelataries while you are exploring Italy. At the end of your course a digital booklet with all the recipes for be available for you to recreate your pizza and gelato for your friends, family and yourself. This activity is strongly recommended for families that wish to have children learn a little about Italian culture in a fun and easy experience that will be a lasting memory!

Our Pizza and Gelato Chefs were fun and educational. We learned how to make traditional Napoli pizza and learned how and why gelato is different than ice cream. My tween and teenagers enjoyed themselves! I highly recommend checking this out if you are in Florence!

A fun evening of cooking. Andrea was excellent and very helpful. He made you feel like you were good at making the dough. Great to eat our pizza afterwards and his gelato at the end of the evening. Would go again.
