Your trip begins from Athens Train Station at 08:00 to Kalabaka with our lux coach – bus. Our professional English-speaking driver will wait for you at the meeting point to begin your safe and comfortable trip. During the journey relax and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes and the scenic beauty of the Greek countryside. Arriving in Kalabaka around 12:30 our local, highly educated, Tour Leader will wait for you to welcome you and begin your 4-hour Private Panoramic Midday Tour. Firstly we will make a short stop for food (not included in the price) and relax from the trip. We’ve reserved the best bus stop under giant trees, overlooking the majestic landscape. Continue with an amazing, 4 hours Meteora tour, see all 6 monasteries, and visit inside 3 of them. Our Tour Leader will give you full attention and care. You will learn everything about this unique worldwide geological phenomenon, the creation of the rock formation, the history of the monasteries, and the life of the monks. Plenty of photo opportunity stops and many secret places that only locals know will make your tour a lifetime experience. See also the Hermit Caves of Badovas exclusively in this tour. If you are visiting the area during the winter season (November 1st – February 22nd) you will have also the chance to see the amazing sunset of Meteora from the most panoramic and popular viewpoint on the rocks! In the end will head to Kalabaka, with a brief stop to prepare for the return trip back to Athens. The bus departs at 18:00 from Kalabaka, and you will arrive in Athens around 22:30.

Christos was a fantastic guide and driver. He was patient. Always willing to stop for photo ops. So much incredible history! I would highly recommend the private tour versus the cattle herd on and off the bus. Christos drove us right to the top of the drop off areas always opposite of when the buses were letting out. There are, what seems like, thousands of steps! Being able to walk without waiting for people to move was amazing! I can't say enough about Christos and our private Meteora tour. The best!

Outstanding experience. The bus, the tour guide, food, on schedule. My wife & I have traveled a lot. The Meteora area was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The deep history was amazing. The beauty was breathtaking, the rock columns the monasteries were built on in the 1300s was mind blowing. Lastly a big part of why our trip was so amazing was our private guide Christo. We booked a private tour and Christos was our guide for the monasteries. He was amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. T

Chris was a wonderful guide! We rode the bus with everyone and then got to Meteora and met Chris for our private tour. He customized everything to our wishes and had the day planned perfectly. We even had time at the end of the day to have a wonderful dinner locally at the base of town. We highly recommend upgrading to the personalized experience. Ours was for 2 and we both keep talking about the amazing experience we had.
