Eiffel Tower Climbing - Guided Tour
What your day looks like
Experience new heights and perspectives from Paris’ most iconic landmark: the Eiffel Tower. By ascending the stairs, you’ll witness views of the City of Light and Love that most visitors never see. Walk on the glass floor of the first level, an experience not included in most tower tours, and enjoy your guide’s insightful commentary as you complete the memorable climb of a lifetime. The Eiffel Tower regularly plays host to large crowds looking to take the storied climb up, so your guide will be invaluable, informative, and a whole lot of fun to be with throughout your experience. Pass the security check and begin your tour below the Eiffel Tower where your expert guide will give you an introduction to the structure. From here, walk with your guide to the ticket entrance of the Eiffel Tower where you’ll get a close-up look at the monument while we arrange your tickets. Please note that during busy periods, there may be a wait to clear the line for the stairs and security. This comprehensive tour is typically scheduled to last for 2 hours, though in high season, crowds at tickets and security checks can sometimes increase the tour duration. Rest assured that these lines will move much quicker than the line for the elevator! If there is a wait, your guide will use this time to explain the fascinating history of the Tower’s creation. As you climb the steps to the first level, you will marvel as the City of Light emerges before your eyes and your guides share the fascinating background of the architectural wonder that made Gustave Eiffel famous. On the first level, which is not regularly included on standard elevator tours, you will have time to take pictures or walk on the 188 ft (57 m) high glass floor. Your guide will then lead you up the steps again, to witness more incredible views on the way to the 2nd level observation deck. Here, you'll be able to take in more of the city's most iconic landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysses, and Notre Dame while enjoying your guide's insightful and entertaining commentary. Once you are finished admiring the spectacular views, you can choose to take the stairs or the elevator back to the ground floor to continue your Parisian adventure! We will do everything within our control to ensure timings and itineraries are respected. However, due to the popularity of the Eiffel Tower, we sometimes experience delays from security, or ticket desk lines while purchasing your entrance tickets. In peak months (April to October), school holidays and on weekends, please expect a minimum wait time of 30mn at the first security check and 45mn at the ticket desk line. In low season (November to March outside school holidays and weekends), please expect a minimum wait time of 15mn at the first security check and 30mn at the ticket desk line
