Lacock and Castle Combe are two of the most famous villages near Bath. Steeped in history, both villages have changed little over the centuries making them charming places to visit and today they are popular locations for filming period films and TV series e.g. Downtown Abbey, Harry Potter, and Warhorse. Your guide will take you on a private walking tour of both villages and will point out interesting village features as well as some of the locations used in the movies. Before returning to Bath you will stop to taste the famous English Cream Tea - scones with cream and jam and a pot of a tea. This traditional snack is a must for all visitors to England!

The journey, in full
- You will be collected at 1:30pm from your preferred pick-up point in Bath e.g. your hotel and will be driven to the village of Lacock, approximately 45 minutes from Bath. Owned by the National Trust, almost all of the buildings in this village are protected and appear as they would have done almost 200 years ago. - Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the village where you can see traditional village features such as a tithe barn, a blind-house as well as a house dating back to the early 1200s. Your guide will explain about the village's history and show you some of the locations used for the films. - After exploring Lacock you will be driven to the tiny village of Castle Combe. Once voted England's prettiest village, Castle Combe is a great example of a traditional Cotswold village and has featured in the films of Warhorse, Stardust and Dr. Doolittle. - During your walking tour of Castle Combe you will learn about the Cotswolds and see some of the filming locations. - At the end of the tour there will be a stop to enjoy a culinary experience which all visitors to England should try - the traditional English Cream Tea! (Scones with cream and jam and a pot of tea). - You will return to Bath around 6:30 pm.
