This experience is the perfect blend of having a guide for a couple of hours, a general introduction to the Palace, eating well, and discovering on your own for the rest of the day. Included in this Experience: Full Day Entry Ticket A fun and friendly guide showing you around. A traditional Afternoon tea including delicate finger sandwiches, delicious pastries, and freshly baked scones. Choose a tea from our Royal Selection. From the beguiling tales of the legendary Henry VIII and his many wives to the unusual joint rulership of William III and Mary II. A fun, friendly, knowledgeable guide will welcome you for a 2-hour experience introducing you to the extraordinary palace and fascinating insights into the lives of the Royalty that lived at Hampton Court. We will then experience the full splendor of Afternoon Tea whilst giving you fascinating insights into our Royal family and the intriguing history behind our national drink, as well as the ceremony of afternoon tea. To begin, your guide will introduce you to the history of Cardinal Wolsey’s creation, which he gifted to Henry in 1528. We will stroll through the courtyards that were witness to great events. Passing under Ann Boleyn’s Gatehouse, where she lived before she was executed, we will see the magnificent baroque palace, Fountain Court, created by Sir Christopher Wren for William III and Mary II. Our tour continues to the restored sunken gardens and then onto the vast Tudor kitchens of Henry’s creation. Finally, we will make our way to a mouthwatering Afternoon Tea. You will then be free to explore Hampton Court Palace’s outdoor spaces and 60 acres of magnificent gardens, as well as have full access to the palace for the remainder of the day. Please note the Child Price is for entry to the Palace and does not include food or drink, which can be purchased separately on the day.
