Your Itinerary

Your day, step by step

Day 1

Quito

Transportation. Bienvenidos! Welcome to Ecuador. You’ll be collected from your preferred Quito hotel this morning and taken to the airport, where you’ll fly over the Andes to the river port town of Coca. Here, a lodge representative will meet you and take you to a motorised canoe on the river for a journey to the mighty Napo.

Hiking. At the lodge, you’ll receive a warm welcome from the local staff, who’ll give you a snack while you’re introduced to the facilities. Later, join your guide for a short hike to the perfect spot for rainforest views, then head back in time for dinner.

Day 2

Quito

Activities. The next two days are packed with activities. These may vary depending on the time of year and the weather; however, they normally include wildlife spotting, canoe rides and jungle walks, with the opportunity to learn from a local guide about the many resources the Amazon provides – from medicine to construction and food.

Day 3

Quito

Activities. Depending on what days of the week you’re at the lodge, you may have the opportunity to meet an indigenous family of the Quichuas del Oriente community or to go on long jungle walks. Whatever you do, you’ll be in one of the most magnificent landscapes on Earth, full of wildlife, incredible plant species – from the tiniest flower to the tallest tree – and communities deeply connected to the land.

Day 4

Quito

Transportation. After breakfast, travel back to Coca airport for your return flight to Quito, where your trip finishes on arrival. You’re scheduled to arrive at Quito Airport at approximately 12 pm, however flight delays are not uncommon in this part of the world. If you have an outbound flight today, we recommend you book this for after 4 pm.
