Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Experience the ultimate adventure with this exclusive itinerary for our product. Your knowledgeable tour guide will greet you in the lobby of your Beijing city hotel and escort you to a luxurious, air-conditioned private vehicle. From there, you will embark on a journey to the Mutianyu Great Wall. En route to the Great Wall, you may have the opportunity to pause for a photo op at the iconic Birds Nest – the Beijing National Stadium, which hosted numerous events during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Upon arrival at the Mutianyu Great Wall, you will have the chance to savor a leisurely experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the grandeur of this ancient structure and the picturesque hillsides that surround it. Your guide will lead you on an exploration of the watch and beacon towers, sharing fascinating historical anecdotes along the way. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind. Compared to the more popular Badaling section, Mutianyu offers a more rugged and less crowded experience. With over 96% of the area covered in lush trees and orchards, the air is filled with the sweet scent of chestnut blossoms in the spring and remains fresh throughout the year. After your visit to the Great Wall, your journey back to the city will include a stop at one of Beijing's most renowned dim sum restaurants to satisfy your hunger. Next, you will have the opportunity to visit the Lama Temple, one of the world's most significant Tibetan Buddhist temples. Once the residence of Count Yin Zhen, who later became Emperor Yongzheng, the temple was transformed into a lamasery in 1744. Admire the magnificent wood-carved Maidala Buddha and learn about its creation from a single piece of sandalwood from your guide. As the tour concludes, you will be chauffeured back to your hotel in Beijing, concluding a day filled with unforgettable experiences and cultural insights.
