Your private guide and driver will arrive at your hotel within the 4th Ring Road in Beijing in the morning, waiting for you to start the day’s itinerary. First, you will visit Longqing Gorge. Flanked by lush green peaks on both sides, Longqing Gorge is often hailed as a "mini Li River of Guilin" yet boasts more stunning scenery, and a "mini Three Gorges of the Yangtze River" with more breathtaking ruggedness. The gorges are adorned with picturesque landscapes and crystal-clear water that shimmers like mirrors. Here, you can feast your eyes on not only towering cliffs, lofty peaks and steep rocks, but also numerous unique landforms such as stone cones, stone swords, stone pillars and dissolution crevices. Taking a cruise along the beautiful lake will leave you with a wonderful memory. You will spend about 2 hours exploring Longqing Gorge. Next, you will head to a local restaurant to savor a delicious Chinese lunch, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Then you will proceed to Dingling Tomb at the Ming Tombs. As the only underground palace open to the public among the Ming Tombs, Dingling is the mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Yijun, who reigned the longest among all 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The construction of Dingling began when he was only 22 years old and took 6 years to complete, finishing in 1590. After his passing, he was buried here together with his two empresses. Your guide will provide professional commentary, sharing detailed stories about the Ming Dynasty’s history and the life of the tomb’s owner, helping you unlock the hidden connotations of the intricate burial culture of the Ming Dynasty.
