Beijing is one of the largest cities in the world, so it's no surprise that the Chinese capital can be overwhelming to first-time visitors. This private 3-day combo tour takes all the hassle out of sightseeing, you will see all the highlights in Beijing such as Tian’anmen Square, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, the traditional Hutong neighborhoods, and the Mutianyu Great Wall. Itinerary Day 1: Great Wall at Mutianyu, Olympic Park Begin your adventure with a morning visit to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Choose to take the cable car both ways, or take the chairlift up and ride the toboggan down. After lunch, drive back Beijing to have an exterior look of the main stadiums in the Olympic Park, including the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Day 2: Panda House, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City Start the day by visiting the Panda House at the Beijing Zoo to see the cute pandas in the morning. Continue to see the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. Then, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors performed their ritual ceremonies. End the day by going to the Forbidden City, which was built in 1420 and served as the imperial residence for 24 emperors of China. Day 3: Lama Temple, Drum and Bell Towers, Houhai Lake, Ming City Wall, Tiananmen Square Start the tour by going to the Lama Temple, originally a palatial residence built in 1694 by Qing Emperor Kangxi for his fourth son, Prince Yongzheng. Continue to see the Drum and Bell Towers, two iconic buildings in the old part of Beijing. Go up the Drum Tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the Hutong neighborhood. Then walk to Houhai Lake, one of the few old and original parts of Beijing. After lunch, visit the Ming City Wall Ruin Park, the only place to see the remaining section of the Ming City Wall that once encircled Beijing. Finally, visit Tiananmen Square to see some of the iconic buildings in Beijing, like the Great Hall of the People, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall.
