Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel within Beijing's 4th Ring Road in the morning, kicking off your one-day tour. Then you’ll board a cozy air-conditioned private car, heading straight for the Badaling Great Wall. The journey to Badaling takes approximately one hour. Along the way, you’ll pass by the Olympic Stadiums and Juyongguan Great Wall—feel free to inform your guide if you’d like to stop for photos. As the most renowned and well-preserved section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, Badaling will be explored with your guide, who will share in-depth historical context and background stories throughout your hike. After enjoying a delicious local Chinese lunch, you’ll take a one-hour drive to the Guyaju Caves. The Guyaju Caves are a crucial discovery for studying ancient inhabitants of northern China. However, lacking precise historical records, their exact origins remain a mystery. This fascinating complex boasts over 110 stone rooms, making it the largest cliff residence ever found in China. Built on steep cliff sides, the adjacent stone houses—varying in shape (rectangular, square) and size (4㎡ to 20㎡)—connect vertically and horizontally via narrow corridors and stone ladders. Remnants like stone lamp-stands, hearths, closets, mangers, windows, and gates still bear traces of the caves’ mysterious ancient dwellers. After exploring Guyaju Caves, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel, bringing this wonderful day tour to a close.
