What your day looks like
Upon your arrival at Tianjin International Cruise Port, your private guide will warmly welcome you and assist with your luggage. You will embark on a scenic 3.5-hour journey to the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and well-preserved structure. During the drive, your guide will provide engaging commentary and fascinating facts about the local area and its history. On the first day, visit the Great Wall. You'll have ample time to explore this iconic structure, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and enjoy a cable car ride for a unique perspective of the Wall. Next, you'll head to the Summer Palace, the finest example of an imperial garden in Beijing. On the second day visit the Temple of Heaven. This impressive and colorful temple was the site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties conducted rituals to ensure bountiful harvests. Ends this incredible journey exploring Tian’anmen Square, a modern landmark established in 1949 that serves as a central gathering place. Adjacent to the square lies the Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace.

Welcome to this trip! Once the cruise ship docks in Tianjin International Cruise Port, your private guide will welcome you, assist you with your bags, and then begin the 3.5 hour journey to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section. As you travel, your guide will keep you entertained with fun facts and trivia about the city and its countless sights.

Sightseeing at Summer Palace. Summer Palace: Heading to the beautiful imperial palace–the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace is the best-kept existing royal garden in Beijing with a concentration of the best of ancient buildings as well as styles of gardening, it is a virtual museum of traditional Chinese gardening. After that, you will transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.

Local Flavor at Temple of Heaven. Temple of Heaven: Check out of your hotel in the morning, your tour will start from the Temple of Heaven. The magnificent and colorful Temple of Heaven was where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would make offerings to heaven and pray for full harvests.

Sightseeing at Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City: Next, you will explore the Tian’anmen square and Forbidden City area. Built in 1949, Tian’anmen square is a modern creation in a city that did not have places where crowds could gather. Beyond it, lies the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City. Over one million treasures were displayed here. Then, you will stop at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch.

This is the end of your trip! Your shore excursion then concludes back at Tianjin International port in time for your cruise departure. The journey back will take approximately 3.5 hours.
