Srebrenica Genocide Tour is a whole-day tour that starts from Sarajevo. After arrival to Srebrenica, the tour starts with visit Potocari Memorial Complex. Visit to this destination provides you possibility to find out about the worst atrocity in Europe since the end of World War II – terrible genocide in which on Juli, 1995, 8372 persons were killed, including more than 1500 children. You will be able to hear the story about this from a man who survived Srebrenica in the Memorial and have will certainly be impacted by what you will be hearing. This visit to a town who became the stage of the greatest cruelty, the greatest crime against humanity is very important in order to understand what was happening in our country in the 1990's.

The journey, in full
Departure from Sarajevo You depart from Sarajevo in the morning and drive through eastern Bosnia. During the drive, your guide explains historical background and prepares you for the visit. Arrival at Srebrenica–Potočari Memorial Center You arrive at the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of the 1995 genocide. You walk through the memorial area and understand the scale and importance of this place. Visit to the Memorial Museum Inside the museum, you see personal stories, photographs, and documents. You learn what happened in Srebrenica and how memories are preserved today. Survivor Meeting (Optional Experience) If available, you can meet a genocide survivor and hear a personal story. This meeting gives deeper and very human understanding of the events. Visit to Srebrenica Town You visit the town of Srebrenica and see how life continues today. Your guide explains post-war life and challenges of the local community. Visit to Natural Healing Springs You stop at natural mineral springs known for healing properties. This short stop gives calm moment after an emotional visit. Return to Sarajevo In the afternoon, you start the drive back to Sarajevo. You return with strong impressions and deeper understanding of Bosnia and Herzegovina history.
