Water Fall Jungle Hike
What your day looks like
This tour will have us hiking through a 13,006 acre preserve of pristine broadleaf forest that was set aside in memory of a Belizean traditional healer who used Mayan herbal medical techniques. As you hike, your guide will teach you about these very medicinal plants and show you which ones are used. The entire hike will be about five hours in total. The first 2.5 hours will be hiking to the waterfall where we will have lunch and you can go for a refreshing swim. Then we continue our hike to the Mountain Pine Ridge which covers an area of 106,352 acres (430 KM) with two types of pines. Within the reserve, researchers have found rocks that date to 340 million years old, the oldest rocks of Central America. There is also one of the tallest waterfalls in Central America, at over 1000 feet high. You will experience it all before heading back!

What travelers are saying
We had a wonderful time with our guide Leo! We were mostly in areas without tourists so it was amazing to experience it without the noise of that. He was extremely knowledgeable about the trees, plants, animals, and geography. We not only saw a lot of amazing things but we learned a lot!
