Morning – Depart Cairns & Northern Beaches Your day begins with a scenic drive from Cairns and the Northern Beaches, heading up to the Atherton Tablelands. Travel through lush rainforest as your guide shares insights into the region’s history, landscapes, and local industries. Lake Barrine & Yungaburra Enjoy breakfast at the beautiful tea house overlooking the crater lake at Lake Barrine before continuing to the historic village of Yungaburra, known for its charm and heritage buildings to do some local produce tastings and shopping. Curtain Fig Tree Take a short walk through the rainforest to view this impressive natural wonder, one of the largest fig trees in Tropical North Queensland. Shaylee Strawberry Farm (Lunch Stop) Pause for a relaxed lunch in a peaceful rural setting. Enjoy time to unwind, with the option to sample fresh strawberries, gelato, and local products. During the season (June–October), guests can pick their own strawberries straight from the field. Gallo DairyLand Stop for a tasting of locally produced cheeses and chocolates, set against rolling green countryside. The Humpy Browse a well-known farmgate store offering tastings of seasonal tropical fruits, freshly roasted peanuts, macadamias, and local produce. Mt Uncle Distillery Enjoy a guided tasting at one of North Queensland’s pioneering distilleries, sampling a range of award-winning spirits and liqueurs. Emerald Creek Ice Creamery Relax with a tasting of small-batch ice creams and fruit sorbets made from local ingredients. Platypus Viewing (conditions permitting and not guaranteed) Keep watch for platypus in their natural habitat—one of the region’s most special wildlife encounters. Afternoon – Return Journey Sit back and enjoy the changing landscapes as you return to Cairns, arriving in the late afternoon.
