Great Ocean Road Day Tour from Melbourne
What your day looks like
Depart Melbourne in the morning and leave the city behind as you journey along one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, the Great Ocean Road. This experience is designed to feel relaxed, immersive, and thoughtfully paced from start to finish. With a maximum of 24 guests, enjoy a more personal journey alongside an expert local guide who brings the region to life through stories and local insight. Begin your day in Torquay with a complimentary beachside morning tea, taking in fresh ocean views before continuing along the winding coastal road. Stop at the iconic Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, marking the official start of this historic route. As the coastline unfolds, keep watch for wild koalas resting high among the eucalyptus trees before heading inland to the Great Otway National Park. Here, enjoy a guided walk through lush rainforest, surrounded by towering trees and fern-lined paths that offer a peaceful contrast to the rugged coastline. Pause for lunch in the seaside town of Apollo Bay, where you’ll have free time to relax and soak up the coastal atmosphere. The journey then continues to Port Campbell National Park, home to the dramatic limestone formations of the Twelve Apostles. Stand before these towering stacks rising from the Southern Ocean, before exploring nearby Loch Ard Gorge, where stories of shipwrecks and survival echo through the cliffs and shoreline. On the return journey, enjoy a short dinner break in Colac before heading back to Melbourne in the evening, reflecting on a day filled with coastal beauty, wildlife, and unforgettable landscapes.
