This exclusive 5-Day Pack-Free Walk takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of the Yuraygir National Park, from Angourie to Red Rock, covering 65 km of pristine coastline. This adventure is available for private groups, making it an ideal option for friends or family seeking a unique outdoor experience together. As you walk, you’ll meander through rocky headlands, picturesque bays, and expansive beaches adorned with pandanus trees. The scenic cliffs of coffee rock and lush rainforests create a stunning backdrop for your daily hikes, allowing you to connect with nature in one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal environments. Along the way, keep an eye out for fascinating wildlife, including coastal emus and other native species that call this area home. You might even stumble upon remnants of whale bones nestled among the driftwood, adding a touch of intrigue to your adventure.

Your day, step by step

Day 1

Yamba

Transportation. Welcome to Australia! Today is an arrival day. Make your own way to the Angourie Resort, Yamba, check-in is available after 2pm. Guests will stay in an apartment or villa with ensuites, kitchenettes and private verandahs.

Leisure. Arrival Day Yamba: The resort has a day spa, an outdoor pool, a tennis court and a restaurant and is only 5 minutes drive from Yamba Beach. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this beautiful town.

Day 2

Hiking at Angourie, New South Wales. Brooms Head to Angourie: Enjoy breakfast at 7:30am in the hotel restaurant and meet your guide in the foyer of Angourie Resort at 8.30am for your transfer to the start of your walk. Today takes us from beautiful Brooms Head to Angourie. During the walk you will explore several coastal plant sceneries. You will wander through wet and dry heathlands and marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of sandstone rocky platforms and far-reaching coastline. At the stunning surroundings of Dirragan headland, you can learn about its relation to the Yaegi people. Admire the gorgeous views of the coffee rock sand cliff while meandering alongside the coastline. Roam a short distance through coastal rainforest in the shelter of the headland. Afterwards, we transfer to our accommodation at the Angourrie Resort Yamba with free time to relax.

Day 3

Eco Tour at Brooms Head, New South Wales. Day 3: Brooms Head to Minnie Water: After breakfast, we transfer to Brooms Head to continue our walk. Our journey takes us along the stunning beach for most of the day. You will encounter beautiful panoramas of the coastline. A perfect place for turtle, dolphin and whale spotting. Descend onto the beach and meander to Sandon River where you will have amazing views of Plover Island. Plover Island is an important place with immense cultural significance for the Yaegl people. Before reaching Minnie Water, wander through stunningly colored and textured old smooth-barked ‘apples. From here we transfer to Wooli River Lodges for our next 2 nights' accommodation

Breakfast. Lunch. Tonight, we dine with the locals at the local hotel, with a range of food choices available from Italian to German and Austrian. Relax and soak up the atmosphere as we enjoy wine with dinner.

Day 4

Eco Tour at Yuraygir National Park. Minnie Water to Wooli: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out to walk from Minnie Water to Wooli. Start the day with a stunning view of the rocky shoreline and wild heath flowers. Meander along the beach before the track changes into a grassy and forested trail. Wander alongside gorgeous and rocky coastal cliffs and bays. Offering many opportunities for turtle spotting and whale watching. Today’s highlight is the Themeda grassy headland, which is an endangered ecological community. You might even come across some Eastern Grey kangaroos appreciating the view.

Breakfast. Lunch. Tonight, we all get together for a wonderful dinner served wines at the Wooli Hotel.

Day 5

Yamba

Leisure at Red Rock, New South Wales. Wooli to Red Rock: Enjoy breakfast before setting out on our final day’s walk from Wooli to Red Rock. This walk will take us along the beach for a short while with some rock hopping in between short sections of rocky bays follows. The beauty and seclusion of the area make this extremely worthwhile. Wander along the freshwater walking track while marveling at the stunning bay of Pebbly Beach. Ditch your shoes and meander through Station Creek estuary, which is a valuable breeding site for numerous endangered shorebirds like the Little Tern, Pied Oyster Catcher and Beach Stone-curlew, before reaching the gorgeous Red Rock River. After our walk, we transfer back to Yamba the end of a memorable journey.

FINISH TIME: We finish back in Yamba at approximately 4pm. Drops off to Grafton available en route if required at approximately 3:15pm. Thanks for traveling with us!
