3 hour Dolphin and Seal Swim

What your day looks like

Our cruises begin with a welcome tea or coffee, after which we travel into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay to embark on an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We arrive at Chinaman's Hat, where you can put your newfound snorkeling skills into action. This local spot is home to the ever-curious Australian Fur Seals, who are always eager to share their underwater world with you. Chinaman’s Hat is a man-made structure built specifically for the seals! With shallow water, a soft white sandy seabed, and a maximum depth of just 4 meters, it’s the perfect place to start your adventure. Once the dolphins are located, we divide into groups of ten and prepare to enter the water. Floating on the surface, your guides will gently encourage the dolphins to interact with the group. Often, they’ll swim beneath you, circling playfully and showing off their incredible agility. Every dolphin encounter is unique, and the time spent with them varies. It’s important to remember that these animals are completely wild, and all interactions occur on their terms. Please understand that there are no guarantees or refunds; however, if we do not see dolphins on your tour, you are welcome to come back for free within 30 days. These prehistoric-looking seahorses are unique to our region and closely related to the famous Leafy Seadragons. These spectacular creatures are Victoria’s official marine emblem.
