Transportation. Welcome to Australia! Meet your guides in the hotel foyer of the Mercure Brisbane King George Square at 7.45am before setting out on our adventure.

Eco Tour at Mapleton Falls National Park. Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk: Our walk today takes us to pretty Mapleton National Park an area of tall open forest and remnants of subtropical rainforest. This walk begins with a gentle walk along the scenic Gheerulla Creek. As we progress several creek crossings are encountered culminating in a brief side trip to the lovely Gheerulla Falls. Along the way we will admire the hoop pine and bunya pines as well admire enjoy the chorus of the 107 species of birdlife and 32 species of frogs that inhabit this National Park. Returning to the main track and it’s a zigzag climb up to Ubajee Viewpoint to review our journey so far from this lookout. From here it’s steady ridgeline walking through to the Leafy Lane Trailhead and the end of the trail. From here we make our way to the Noosa Eco Retreat

Hiking at Woondum National Park. Woondum National Park - Kin Kin: After a hearty breakfast we head out on today’s walk which takes us through the beautiful Woondum National Park. This park consists of mountains and hills blanketed in magnificent tall eucalypt forests, luscious rainforest, as well as cascading rock pools and boulder-strewn creeks. We start high and finish low passing through Woondum National Park on our way to Kin Kin. With a population of just under 800 people, Kin Kin is within the UNESCO Noosa Biosphere but also boasts a good number of heritage-listed buildings.

Eco Tour at Noosa National Park. The Scenic Trail - Noosa Hinterland: After a hearty breakfast we head out on our day’s walking adventure. Today’s walk showcases a variety of ecosystems from coastal vistas to panoramic hinterland, rich forests and rolling farmlands. We leave Kin Kin we swing to the east then south for the first dozen kilometers on this section called “The Scenic Trail”. First major destination is the Cootharaba Views Lookout… the last almost 2km is uphill but with rewarding views to compensate. After a little more uphill walking on quiet roads we’ll soon take in Twin Hills View Lookout ad then bounce up to Middle Lookout on our way back to James McKane Memorial Lookout, before reaching the end of the trail.

Afterwards we transfer back to either the Sunshine Coast airport (50 min drive) arriving at approximately 5.00pm or Brisbane’s Mercure King George Square (2 hours) arriving at approximately 6.00pm. The end of a fantastic journey. Thanks for traveling with us!
