Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Marvel at Patagonia's beautiful wildlife during this Penguins and Dolphins Watching at Punta Tombo Tour. In this memorable experience, visit the most important Latin American penguin colony to observe these friendly animals in their natural habitat. Our tour begins around 7:30 am, with the pick up from your hotel. The first stop will be at Puerto Rawson, Union Beach, around 09:00 am. After touring the area, you'll board a small boat to go Dolphin watching. You'll get close to the Toninas, the world's smallest dolphin. We will navigate until we can see the playful dolphins in their habitat. This excursion lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then, continue to Punta Tombo, the Magellanic penguin's natural habitat. We spend 1.5 hours there, and during that time, you'll be able to observe how the different animals, such as Gulls, Skuas, Giant Petrels, Cormorants, Oyster-catchers and duck steams, cohabit on the coast. Given the extent of the area, other native species such as guanacos, rheas, rabbits, and foxes can be seen. In case dolphin watching cannot be carried out, we will conduct a historical tour in this ancient Welsh colony where you will have the opportunity to taste the traditional Welsh Tea (not included). Return to Puerto Madryn around 6.30 pm
