What your day looks like
The tour takes you along Route 25, which links the coast with the Chubut mountains. All these miles will take you through the plain landscapes to undulating plateaus until arriving at the Florentino Ameghino. Enjoy the spectacle of nature and be amazed by the emerald green lake which is enclosed by walls reminding of a Jurassic Park scene, 200 meters high. This serves as a dam and it is much appreciated since it produces electricity for the area.

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
We will leave from our central hotels in Puerto Madryn around 08:00 am, using route 25 that joins the coast with Chubut´s mountains until we reach Florentino Ameghino Dam. Thanks to this important work of hydraulic engineering, we will see an emerald green lake enclosed by reddish walls of volcanic formation, 200 meters high. This impressive dam produces the electrical energy of the area. There we can make different activities such as interpretatives walks on natural walkways used by locals. After this beautiful day in contact with nature, we will be returning to our selected hotels around 18:30 hs.
