Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

We will leave from the meeting point in the city center to travel to Coronel Moldes town boarding the Cabral Corral dam and finally reaching the Juramento River Canyon. (2 hours in the car from Salta capital city). At the base, we will meet our guide who will give us a brief instructive talk about rafting and safety. They will give us the equipment and we will start the descent by the Juramento River rapids. There are 12 different class I and II rapids, framed by the imposing landscape of the Juramento River Canyon. The tour ends 12 km. Further on in Los Lapachos; there our vehicles will be waiting for us to take us back to the base, where we will be received with a delicious lunch. It consists of a typical "asado" with various cuts of meat, sausages, and salads, as well as water and juices. You will have free time to visit the area until your return time. This area has a significant archaeological value since its walls were, 65 million years ago, huge beaches inhabited by prehistoric animals. At approximately 16:00 hs, we will return to Salta City.
