Day 2

City/Town Tour. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy our City Tour. Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo with its cobblestone streets, La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present, and the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the Paris of the South.

Day 3

Transfer Buenos Aires Hotel to Buenos Aires International Airport Jorge Newbery (AEP), private service At the appropriate time, you will be taken to the International Airport Jorge Newbery (AEP) to take your next flight. Upon arrival in Salta you will be transferred to your hotel. Salta has it all: the geographical diversity (green, red and brown mountains) and the historical richness. Do not forget that, in these lands, one day they fought for the independence of Argentina! It also has exquisite and well-preserved colonial architecture, picturesque and very crowded cafes in the main square (a great place to sit and watch the locals in their daily hustle and bustle!), and the characteristic and fun peñas, places where Salteños sit and listen to their local folklore idols, and then end up dancing (after one or two encouraging glasses of wine) together. The perfect base to explore the Argentinian Northern area is Salta city Keep in mind that religion is very important here: religiously speaking, people take a siesta in Salta... so between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. it will be more difficult for you to find the places open, so take advantage of it to take your first northern siesta! Day 4

Buenos Aires

Archaeological Exploration. Early in the morning we will travel along the same route as the famous Train to the Clouds, zigzagging on lonely roads between the blue sky and the high desert plains. On our way, we will visit historic ruins, scattered houses, small villages and amazing landscapes.

Finally, later in the afternoon we will arrive to our comfortable hotel in Purmamarca, located at the base of Jujuy´s famed 7-colored mountain.

Day 5

Buenos Aires

Archaeological Exploration at Pucará de Tilcara. In the morning, you will depart early for a tour along the Humahuaca Gorge, declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. You will visit places such as Maimará, “Paleta del Pintor”, Tilcara, Runa Arqueológica “El Pucará de Tilcara”, Huacalera, Trópico de Capricornio, Uquía (Pinturas Cuzqueñas) and finally, the small town of Humahuaca before returning to Salta.

Day 6

Buenos Aires

Wine Tasting. After that, we drive to Cafayate to visit one traditional winery for tasting before returning to Salta.

Wine Tasting. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel for a half day tour to the Mendoza Wine Country (semi- private service). During the day, you will visit two of the best wineries in the area where you will learn about their philosophy, the wine making process and have the chance to taste some delicious locally produced Cabernet and Malbec, far from the big buses that visit the most popular wineries this semi private tour is specially designed to visit some of the best vineyards accompanied by our local wine expert.

Day 9

Sightseeing at Aconcagua Mountain. After breakfast, you will have a full day tour in a semi -private service to the nearby Andes Mountains where you will be able to enjoy the most impressive panoramic views of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas.

Sightseeing. As a private excursion, this offers you greater flexibility regarding the time of the tour, allowing you to make the most of the sights and routes. In addition, you will have a guide at your disposal throughout the entire tour that will provide you with all the necessary information, making this a much more personalized tour. Starting along the Mendoza River, you will be amazed by the view of the majestic mountain range, the Cordon del Plata, as well as the Potrerillos Dam, a colossal work for hydraulic power generation, and the beautiful valley of Cacheuta. Our next visit is Uspallata, a pre-Hispanic settlement of aboriginal people called the “Huarpes” and the most southern point of the Inca Empire at the height of its power. We also pass by the villages of Picheuta, Polvareda and Punta de Vacas, as well as the access point to a Mendoza ski resort called “Los Penitentes” which is open from June to August. Further ahead is Puente del Inca, where the Las Cuevas River has carved into the mountain over the years and formed a natural bridge with hot springs. You will also be able to appreciate the magnificence of Mount Aconcagua, the “Giant of America” that measures 6959 meters in height. Following the international route to reach our ultimate destination there is a Customs Office called “Horcones”, and a few kilometers ahead, on the border with Chile, there is Las Cuevas village located at 3.200 meters above sea level. In summer season you can make a nice hike to Quebrada del Durazno at the base of Aconcagua, passing through Horcones Lagoon.
