St John the Baptist City Parish Church – Time Lords & Wedding Bells One of the oldest surviving buildings in Cardiff, St John the Baptist Church gained international fame as a filming location for Doctor Who: “The Runaway Bride”, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Inside this ancient church, you’ll hear the insider story of how the production team worked closely with the church to use its historic organ—and real organist—to play the Wedding March during filming. You’ll also learn why, despite this cooperation, the Doctor Who production team will never be allowed to film here again. Before leaving, see if you can spot a cleverly hidden Cyberman tucked away inside the church.
