Whether you’re a serious beer drinker or just “beer-curious,” we think you’ll enjoy this brewery-hopping tour. We show you some art, pick the breweries, and handle the driving. Your ticket includes two complimentary beers at two local breweries. This is a small, personable tour—come with a date, a friend, or a group of friends. Wynwood has four microbreweries. The two veteran establishments are Wynwood Brewing (whose La Rubia is carried by Total Wine and Target) and J. Wakefield Brewing. Then there are two newer spots, each with a unique ambiance. If you’ve never had craft beer, it’s a very different experience from your regular Budweiser or even a fancy imported Pilsner. The depth and variety of flavors in craft beer are something you’d normally expect from wine. (That’s not to say craft beer tastes like wine—it doesn’t.) The many different grains used, along with the addition of fruits, coffee, and even chocolate during the brewing process, create a range of exciting flavors derived from genuine ingredients. We’ll hang out at two of the breweries and try one of their signature brews. If you like, we can check out a third brewery or drop you off there at the end of the tour. As you probably know, Wynwood is a magnet for muralists and street artists, so murals, wall paintings, graffiti, and street art in every style and theme cover nearly every wall. On our tour, we’ll provide background information on the area and share fascinating stories about the artists and the larger art scene.
