What to Bring
We recommend wearing dark, comfortable clothing to help reduce glare in photos, along with closed-toe shoes. Bring sunglasses for comfort and a light jacket, as temperatures can be cooler at higher elevations near the volcano. Please avoid loose items such as hats or bulky accessories, and secure long hair. Don’t forget your camera or phone—you’ll want to capture every moment of this incredible experience.
Restrictions
WEIGHT & BALANCE: Our number one priority is flight safety. Per FAA regulations, we are required to perform a weight and balance calculation. Each passenger will be weighed privately during check-in to ensure the aircraft’s weight and balance are accurate for your safety. All passengers will be weighed on a certified scale. The scale is discreet, and the reading will only be visible to the staff member assisting with check-in. If a guest weighs significantly more than the weight provided at booking, they may be moved to a different flight. Refusal to move to another flight due to inaccurate provided weights will result in forfeiture of the seat and loss of the fare. If no alternative flight is available, the seat and fare will be 100% forfeited. Note: Passengers over 250 lbs will be required to purchase an additional comfort seat. For bookings of two persons traveling together whose individual weights do not exceed 250 lbs, but whose combined weight exceeds 420 lbs, an additional comfort seat will also be required. ARTICLES TO LEAVE AT YOUR HOTEL: There is no TSA stationed at the heliport, and there are restrictions on what passengers may bring on the flight. The only carry-on items permitted on the helicopter are cameras, cell phones, and sunglasses. (Note: Cell phones must be placed on airplane mode.) All other personal items must be left in your vehicle or in one of the lockers we provide. PROHIBITED ITEMS: Bags (including camera bags and purses) iPads or tablets Selfie sticks or handles Binoculars Hats WEATHER: All tours may vary depending on weather conditions and are subject to FAA regulations. PHOTOGRAPHY: Please keep in mind this is a sightseeing tour. The windows are designed for exceptional viewing, not professional photography. We cannot guarantee that your photos will be free of glare, as cameras may capture reflections of contrasting objects. To help reduce window glare, use manual settings and focus on your subject. A wide-angle lens is recommended. If you are a professional photographer, we highly recommend booking a doors-off photography charter. (Note: We strongly recommend wearing dark clothing to help reduce potential glare or reflections on the windows.) SCUBA DIVING: Scuba diving is not permitted within 24 hours prior to your flight.
