The journey, in full
Our tour starts at the historic Redmont Hotel where you'll hear the stories of the ghosts, some of the world-famous, that walk its halls. Do you know who haunts Birmingham? The YMCA is haunted, and it's also the site of the old jail. You'll hear the story of the Hawes riots where it happened and the ghosts that haunt this spot today. Love will prevail no matter the obstacles, or so they thought. Two star-struck lovers came here to unite in marriage, but in the end, Father Coyle paid the price with his life. And it's said today his ghost haunts its halls. Let me show you where and tell you their story. We will enter this creepy scary alley at this spot and follow it to the end. And you'll hear about Henry the Hacker and the Axe Syndicate that once terrorized Birmingham killing dozens. Known as the Clark Building, this spot has 2 spooky ghosts that haunt the second floor eternally looking out to see if their papa will return. Let's see if we can spot them on the tour. Who was Madam Lou and how did the brothel queen save the city of Birmingham? Take the tour to find out. Libraries hold a wealth of information. They also hold the spirits of the past. As you walk through Linn Park, do watch your back. Who knows what could be lurking in the dark? We will start at the Linn Henley Research Library. Our final stop ends near where we began. You'll hear the story of the residents that haunt the old Tutwiler and with some luck, you might just see one in action.
