Fishing in Key West at night has a lot of advantages. The most obvious advantage is that you’re not fishing in the sun. No need for sunscreen and sunglasses on this trip. The ocean is calm, the weather is beautiful and cooler. It’s relaxing to fish at nighttime. You've got the whole ocean to yourself... There are quite a few fish that bite better during the night only in the summer months. Grey Snapper being the target, we will also catch mutton snapper, yellow tail snapper, sharks, and grouper. A Key West favorite is the mangrove snapper/grey snapper. We most frequently catch yellowtail snapper, triggerfish, mutton snapper, porgies, grunts & grouper on our fishing trips. We do occasionally catch other species of fish as well, but those are our target species. Don’t worry, they’re all fun to catch and they all taste great! - You don’t need to worry about bringing any fishing gear or a fishing license.
