The journey, in full
Once in the park, you’ll get your first look at the canyon from Mather Point. Here, you’ll witness the morning light as it plays across the canyon in a variety of colors and shadows. Next, you’ll embark on the hike of a lifetime down the South Kaibab Trail to Ooh Ahh Point. This overlook into the canyon provides an uninhibited view within the canyon – a stunning backdrop for family photos and selfies alike. In the afternoon, we will visit one of the many museums along the rim – the Yavapai Geology Museum, Kolb Studio, or the Bright Angel History Room. Each of these museums is situated right off the south rim and offers one last view of the canyon before departure.
