What your day looks like
Our North Beach Walking Tour begins at Washington Square Park, the city’s first public park, where you’ll learn the surprising role it played after the 1906 earthquake and fire. Admire the vintage lampposts and Coit Tower in the distance. Step inside Saints Peter and Paul Church to see its Italian marble altar and hear about its connection to Joe DiMaggio. You’ll also enjoy views of Lombard Street, the Golden Gate Bridge, and hidden gems your guide has in store for you as you walk the colorful streets of SF’s “Little Italy.” After a visit to Pier 39 — adorably overrun with sea lions — your guide will walk you to your cruise departing for Alcatraz. Once there, you can tour the prison with your included audio guide, admire the gardens, and visit the many exhibits. Return at your leisure. If you’ve selected one or both of our upgrades, there’s more fun in store. See it all from 150 feet up on the SkyStar Wheel or cruise the bay for sweeping skyline and nature views.

Please note that a government-issued photo ID is required for every person 18 years and older who books tickets to Alcatraz Island. You'll need it when picking up tickets at the Alcatraz City Cruises Ticketbooth, and it may also be required in the boarding area. Thank you for ensuring a smooth check-in process.

Absolutely Wonderful Tour – A Must-Do in San Francisco! We had an incredible experience on the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf Walking Tour with Alcatraz Ticket! Our tour guide was absolutely amazing—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and kindhearted. She led us through a fantastic journey of the Wharf, sharing fascinating insights about its history, the local fishing industry, iconic businesses, and so much more. We learned a great deal while enjoying the beautiful sights and atmosphere. After the walking portion, we transitioned seamlessly to the Alcatraz cruise. Boarding and disembarking were easy, and the staff was super helpful and welcoming. The audio-guided tour of Alcatraz was exceptionally well done, giving us a deep and engaging understanding of what we were seeing and the history behind it.
