What your day looks like
River Kayaking Experience. Meet at the Active Oahua Tours storefront in Kailua then it's a 40 minute drive from the meeting point to your destination, so we will loan you pads and straps for your vehicle to transport the kayak to the launch location. Kahana Valley is a natural rainforest. It is one of the last undeveloped locations on the island. This route truly feels like you are stepping back in time. The whole area is surrounded by epic mountains and lush jungle scenery.

The journey, in full
You will meet us at the Active Oahu Tours storefront in Kailua: 134B Hamakua Dr. Kailua HI, 96734 Our friendly team will be there to guide you through strapping the kayak on your vehicle and provide you with all the necessary equipment. All you need is a 4-door car to transport it. Please show up 15 minutes before your booking time. Please note that it's a 40-minute drive from our address to Kahana Bay. You will park in the State Park parking lot. From there, you carry the kayak to the grassy area and launch the kayak straight into the river. Enjoy kayaking in Kahana Valley!
