What your day looks like
Our semi-private group surf lessons for 7+ people give the entire family or friends a chance to share in the fun of surfing in a safe and comfortable environment. Rivers to the Sea instructors are highly trained and focus on water safety as well as personal surf instruction and support during the lesson and of course having a ton of fun!

Lesson Times: 7:30 am, 9:20 am, 11:10 am seven days a week. We recommend early morning surf lessons as surf conditions and crowds tend to be best at that time.

Meeting & Pickup
Your Maui surf lesson will take place at the surf break known as "Thousand Peaks." Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/f5gk4iFX5Lw2k7px5 Thousand Peaks is conveniently located between Mile Marker 12 and Mile Marker 12.5 off Highway 30 (Honopi'ilani Highway), right next to Ukumehame Beach Park. If you're coming from Ka'anapali Resorts, it's a 20 minute drive to the south. If you're staying in Kihei, Makena, or Wailea Resorts, it's approximately 20-30 minutes away. For those in Paia, Haiku, and the North shore areas, expect a 30-40 minute drive to reach this location.

Sassan was a fantastic instructor for our inexperienced group. He was very thorough in his teaching and patient as our group of 3 (18, 20, 46 yo) practiced. He was very communicative prior to the lesson and made the entire process and experience a great one. We'd recommend Sassan to anyone!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 9 & 11 yr old) had a great time learning to surf!! It was our first time ever surfing and our instructor did a great job of teaching us what we needed to know. It was a lot of fun and will be great family memories!

Our coach Sharky was great. we were a family of four. Very patient and detailed on all the instructions. Successfully got up on the first run out. Thousand Peaks was a perfect spot for beginners. The waves weren't always in our favor but Sharky was good at trying to find us ones. Out of all of our executions this one was the best. We will book again when we return to Maui.
