Upper West Side: The Upper West Side has several famous landmarks like Columbus Circle, Lincoln Center, and The American Museum of Natural History. It’s one of the greenest parts of Manhattan and has relaxed bistros and lots of lively bars, making it the perfect neighborhood to stroll by great architecture. As you enter The Upper West Side, you’ll see sites from Enchanted, Hitch, and First Wives Club. You’ll also trace locations back to the 90’s and 00s in rom-coms such as You’ve Got Mail and the Sex and the City movie. Allow yourself to admire creative buildings like Beacon Theatre and Lincoln Center while daydreaming about Moonstruck and Sweet Home Alabama. And last but not least, step into the storyline of When Harry Met Sally before moving on to Central Park. Central Park: Central Park is located between the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side. It’s the most filmed location in New York City and is often used as a backdrop for many rom-com movies. The classics 27 Dresses and When In Rome are just two films that used this beautiful park as a setting. Upper East Side: New York City’s Upper East Side is the neighborhood situated between Central Park and the East River, from 59th to 96th Streets. Fifth Avenue is often referred to as ‘Museum Mile’. Museums included here are the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, and more. Another museum on 5th Avenue is the National Design Museum, where Tess and Jack crashed a wedding party in Working Girl. You will stop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to re-live scenes from Made of Honor, A Rainy Day in NY, and Maid in Manhattan. Aside from the museums, we will also see where the lift broke down in First Wives Club. There are also more than enough hotels to spend a romantic night in The Upper East Side like The Plaza from Bride Wars, The Pierre Hotel from A Rainy Day in NY or The Sherry Hotel from New York Stories. Take your pick! Greenwich Village: For a change of scenery, you’ll also have the chance to check out Greenwich Village downtown. This unique and trendy neighborhood is the setting for more recent rom-com and is home to up-and-coming, little-known haunts. Washington Square Park is a well-known area where many rom-com movies have been filmed. It was Jenny and Nate’s signature spot in Someone Great and the backdrop for musical numbers in Isn’t It Romantic. You’ll pass by apartments featured in Second Act and How To Be Single, and end the tour at The Little Cupcake Shop, as seen in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: Forever and Always. SoHo: SoHo is short for ‘South of Houston Street.’ This neighborhood is known for its artists, architecture, and boutiques. You’ll pass by Jenny and Nate’s special spot by the fountain in Someone Great, and see where Lara Jean from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: Always and Forever imagines going to college in NYC. East Village: As you approach the heart of the East Village, stores will become trendier and the streets will become a little more narrow and quiet. You will pass by several lunch places as seen in When Harry Met Sally, Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist, and Enchanted. You will also pass by the final park featured on the tour which was seen in Eat, Pray, Love and 2 Days in New York.
