What your day looks like
Established in 1929, Grand Teton National Park encompasses 485 square miles of natural habitat for elk, moose, bighorn sheep, birds of prey, and possibly wolves. Explore the beauty of the southern half of the park including panoramic views of Grand Teton peak at 13,775 ft in elevation. This magnificent ecosystem comes alive in the winter and this tour offers ample opportunity for winter wildlife viewing while learning about the ecology, natural history, and cultural history of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Enjoy the comfort of customized Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans on your wildlife viewing tour. All vans are equipped with rooftop hatches for wildlife viewing. Please note as of January 1, 2026, a mandatory $100 USD per non-US resident fee is required to enter the park. If needed, passengers can purchase these on the National Park Service's website prior to the date of the tour, or these can be purchased at the gate at the start of the tour.

What to Bring
Layering is key! We recommend guests bring a day pack and the following items: a rain jacket, lightweight puffy or fleece layer, knit hat or beanie, sun hat or visor, and comfortable hiking shoes. Sunscreen is always recommended.
Restrictions
Starting January 1, 2026, the National Park Service (NPS) is implementing a $100 per-person fee for non-U.S. residents entering 11 major national parks, in addition to standard entrance fees, as part of a new "resident-focused" fee structure designed to prioritize U.S. taxpayers and fund park maintenance. This fee will only impact our international customers. The only exception is for those non-U.S. residents that have purchased the America the Beautiful (ATB) International Pass for $250, which grants annual access to all federal lands.
Meeting & Pickup
Complimentary pick-up at your accommodations within the town of Jackson, Wilson, or Teton Village. If you are staying in the National Parks or outside the immediate area, we can meet you in the town of Jackson at the Home Ranch Welcome Center Public Parking Lot. Please note: The drive time for your pickup and drop off will be factored into the total time on the tour.

Our experience with Wildlife Expeditions and the Teton Science Schools was amazing. The Sprinter van was comfortable, the provided binoculars and spotting scopes were great, and, most importantly, our guide was amazing. David knew where the secret spots were for bird's eye views, knew the recent patterns of the wildlife in the area, and had phenomenal knowledge of the different species living in the Tetons. Though we did not see bears on our outing, we saw elk, mule deer, bison, and a rare great gray owl. The tour does take place over the traditional dinner hour, so that's something to keep in mind if you need something heartier than a snack, but the experience was top notch. My husband said, "Can we do this again tomorrow?"
