The Experience

What your day looks like

Experience the definitive highlights of the world’s first national park on this comprehensive 12-hour private journey. From the legendary eruptions of Old Faithful to the vivid colors of the Grand Prismatic Spring and the thundering waterfalls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, this tour is designed to showcase the park’s most iconic wonders while prioritizing wildlife encounters in the rolling hills of Hayden Valley. Our adventure begins at dawn, capturing the first light on the Teton Mountains as we transit through Grand Teton National Park. While the drive north is a spectacular wildlife corridor in its own right, the day truly transforms as we cross into the Yellowstone caldera. Led by an expert guide who adapts the itinerary in real-time based on wildlife activity and road conditions, your group will enjoy a perfectly paced exploration of the Lower Loop, complete with expert commentary and professional-grade optics for a front-row view of nature.

The journey, in full

Sunrise Pickup & Grand Teton Transit: Your guide collects you from Jackson or Teton Village in a private vehicle stocked with snacks and drinks. We’ll scout for moose and grizzly bears along the Snake River and Moran Junction on our way north. Yellowstone South Entrance: Enter the vast elevated plateau of the Yellowstone supervolcano. Your guide will explain the fascinating geology of the 45-mile-wide caldera that reshaped the continent. Yellowstone Lake & West Thumb: Catch your first glimpse of geothermal features at the water's edge. During trout spawning season, we may stop at Fishing Bridge to look for fishing grizzly bears. Hayden Valley Wildlife: Slow down in the park’s premier wildlife destination. Use our spotting scopes to scan for bison herds, hunting coyotes, grizzly bears, and the Wapiti Lake wolf pack. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone: Marvel at the 1,000-foot-deep canyon and the Lower Falls, which drop 308 feet into the colorful rhyolite gorge. Enjoy a scenic riverside lunch in the Canyon area. Grand Prismatic Spring: Visit the Midway Geyser Basin to see the jaw-dropping rings of vivid colors radiating from the deep blue center of this massive thermal spring. Old Faithful & Upper Geyser Basin: Witness the world’s most famous geyser and explore the surrounding boardwalks, which host the highest concentration of geysers on Earth. Golden Hour Return: Journey back through the Tetons as the late afternoon light transforms the landscape. We’ll take the Inner Park Road if time permits for a final chance to spot moose and elk.
