The Experience

What your day looks like

Experience Orange Lake, one of the largest Lakes in North Central Florida, while enjoying the remote fisheries wildlife and nature catching the largemouth bass of your dreams on an adventure of a lifetime that is perfect for the family or both! Orange Lake is located 20 miles from Gainesville and is only a short drive for a largemouth bass fishing adventure of a lifetime. It is one of the largest lakes in the region covering 12,550 acres. It is a designated Fish Management Area that harvests an abundance of trophy fish. Orange lake has an extensive aquatic vegetation community, dominated by spatterdock (lily pads) and periodically hydrilla. Shallow marsh areas are inaccessible to anglers due to the dense growth of vegetation. Anglers can catch the growing population of largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and black crappie. Your tour is guided by a professionally licensed captain that operates in a 21-foot boat. All the equipment is included such as rods and reels (both left and right handed) and artificial lures that you can use and lose at your pleasure. We also are ready and equipped for any emergency at hand. The tour includes fishing instructions and casting lessons for beginners and advanced techniques for the experts. This fishing adventure lasts for 4-hours with options to start at 7 am or 2 pm, but is flexible to your schedule depending on availability; also, never worry about rough seas or seasickness at this location and restrooms during the trip are always available. While you are out on the water, all the boats have coolers on board with ice and bottled water to keep you hydrated while reeling in fish. There's plenty of space to bring snacks, lunch and your favorite beverage. Alcohol beverages in cans are preferred but all alcohol is permitted. This fishing trip is guaranteed by our industry award-winning, "NO FISH, NO PAY" tour policy. So grab your hat, sunglasses, and camera. All you have to do is step aboard, cast a pole and wait for the tug on the other end. This fishing adventure will leave you with memories of a lifetime. This trip is a 4 hour tour, which can be scheduled in the AM or PM.

What travelers are saying

There was some confusion on which lake we were supposed to fish and who the captains were. This was the fault of I Outdoors, not the boat captains. Ultimately we ended up fishing Rodman Reservoir with Captain Chris and had a great ti.me. My grandson caught a nice bass.
