What your day looks like
Join Cajun Pride Swamp Tours for an educational journey through Louisiana's bayous and swamps, followed by a visit to either Oak Alley Plantation (a National Historic Landmark) or St. Joseph Plantation. Oak Alley Plantation: Guided 30-minute “Big House” tour with time to explore the grounds. Photography is not allowed inside the mansion. St. Joseph Plantation: 60-minute guided tour of the Manor Home and access to original outbuildings including slave cabins, schoolhouse, and more. Known filming location for 12 Years a Slave, Queen Sugar, and others.

10:30-11:00 AM: Hotel pick-up 11:30 AM: Arrival at swamp 12:00-1:40 PM: Swamp tour 1:45-2:00 PM: Depart for plantation 2:45-3:00 PM: Plantation arrival 3:00 PM 1-hour guided plantation tour (St. Joseph) 3:30 PM 30-minute guided plantation tour (Oak Alley) 4:15-4:30 PM: Pick-up for return (St. Joseph) 4:30-4:45 PM: Pick-up for return (Oak Alley) 5:45-6:15 PM: Hotel drop-off After leaving the city at 11:00AM, our buses arrive at the swamp at approximately 11:30AM. Upon arrival, please proceed directly upstairs to obtain an entrance ticket. An entrance ticket is required in order to tour the swamp. Guests will have 15-30 minutes of free time to enjoy the grounds at Cajun Pride, browse the gift shop or use the restroom. Boats leave promptly at 12:00PM for a 90-minute narrated boat tour of the Manchac Swamp. Buses depart the swamp between 1:45-2:00PM for a 35-minute drive to the plantations. Guest drop-off is between 2:45-3:00PM for a scheduled tour time. The plantations require our bus driver to assist in the check-in process for ticket distribution. St. Joseph tour time is 3:00PM; Oak Alley tour time is 3:30PM. The plantations set the assigned tour times and we are unable to deviate from these times. Bus pick-up for transfer back to the city is 4:15-4:30PM at St. Joseph; 4:30-4:45PM at Oak Alley. Hotel drop-off is between 5:45-6:15PM. Transportation times are approximate and are not guaranteed due to potential traffic or weather delays. Our drivers do their very best to stay on schedule. Personal car or rental car is suggested for those who are on a strict schedule or do not wish to wait on bus service.

Restrictions
The minimum for this tour to run is 6 people. Should that not be met, you will be informed and refunded. We are a family establishment, and proper attire is required including shirt and shoes. No offensive language or imagery. No booty/cheeky shorts. No swimsuits or similar attire. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times. Children must be supervised at all times in the ticket office/gift shop and on swamp property for safety reasons.
Meeting & Pickup
Meeting point: Cajun Pride Swamp Tours, 110 Frenier Rd, Laplace, LA 70068 Hotel transportation services from many New Orleans, Metairie and Kenner area hotels are available. Please be reminded with the recent French Quarter tragedy on January 1, we are no longer able to pick-up in many French Quarter hotels as well as other city-wide locations. The pick-up window is between 10:30AM-11:00AM. Due to traffic delays and the number of stops, we ask that the guest be outside and ready for this 30 minute period. On occasion, the pick-up location may change due to unforeseen events.
